We accept internship students from various universities including overseas every year.
The period is about 2 weeks to a half year, depending on each school.
All students are supposed to learn what it is like to work for a medical device manufacturer through various kinds of work experiences.
We associate with Harvard university and Stanford university. Some of the students give us English lessons which inspire us a good stimulus.
If you are interested in internship at Teijin Nakashima Medical, please feel free to contact us from the contact page.

Stanford University
Adam Genecov

Period:June 25th to August 31st, 2012

My name is Adam Genecov, and I am a Biomechanical Engineering major and member of the Class of 2013 at Stanford University. In the summer of 2012, I worked at Nakashima Medical on the IT Team in the Design Group. For my work, I used CT scans provided by medical organizations to create 3D bone models, analyzed knee joint kinematics, and created a way to calculate kinematic parameters describing these movements. I also coded programs to calculate these parameters automatically. My experiences as an intern allowed me to learn much about artificial joints and about Japanese business culture, as well. Because of these experiences, I think I want to continue in the field of engineering when I start work after I graduate.
