We accept internship students from various universities including overseas every year.
The period is about 2 weeks to a half year, depending on each school.
All students are supposed to learn what it is like to work for a medical device manufacturer through various kinds of work experiences.
We associate with Harvard university and Stanford university. Some of the students give us English lessons which inspire us a good stimulus.
If you are interested in internship at Teijin Nakashima Medical, please feel free to contact us from the contact page.

Meisha Brooks
Period:July 4th to August 26th, 2011

Hi my name is Meisha Brooks and I am concentrating in Mechanical and Materials Sciences and Engineering at Harvard College, Class of 2014. At Nakashima Medical during the summer of 2011, I belonged to the design group, specializing in artificial knee joint replacements. I learned the ins and outs of the knee structure as I began to learn a program called MV with which I created 3D joint models from a patient’s CAT scans. Supplemented by factory and Research and Design center tours I truly learned from beginning to end how artificial joints are created. My co-workers were some of the most helpful and inspiring people I’ve ever met. My desired future career has become clearer and I know now that I definitely want to be in the engineering design field. I want my designs to bring joy to others and ultimately improve lives. Having seen first-hand the positive aspects of the engineering world, I know that I want to be a part of it.
